Sharleen Leahey

I  joined many performers in a concert honoring Agnes "Sis" Cunningham at the Ethical Culture Society Hall in New York City

Sis had been one of the original Almanac Singers in 1941-1942, along with Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, and several others.

In 1962, Sis and her husband Gordon Friesen founded "Broadside" magazine. Gordon passed away in 1996 at the age of 87, and Sis died in 2004 at the age of 95.
