LEFT FORUM CONFERENCE
Transcending Borders: Sounds of Solidarity

Sharleen Leahey performs her original "What Would Woody Write" and "For the 99" at the Left Forum Conference in New York City. Presented at the Black Box Theater and hosted by singer-songwriter/activist Mat Callahan before a live audience, the concert brought together the music of international artists as they merge folkloric and global sounds. Included in Sharleen's set is the classic "Union Maid" by Woody Guthrie (with the feminist verse!) The LEFT FORUM CONFERENCE was held at John Jay College in New York City in May 2015.

NEW VIDEO FROM TRENTON RALLY October 7, 2011
10 Years of War is Enough!

*Music by Sharleen Leahey
Videographer Leigha Cohen has produced a compelling new video from footage she took at the 10th Anniversary Anti-War Rally at the State House on October 7th in Trenton. She used two of my songs “Say No To War” and “Daring to Speak” with footage of civilians, soldiers and those of us who are trying to stop “this insanity”.

Thank you for watching and for sharing.
